Can't connect with ISTA/P - ICOM status is "Reserved"

Problem: Can't connect with ISTA/P - ICOM status is "Reserved"

Solution: Use the ITool Radar to release the “Reserved” status of the ICOM

 


Download and unzip (unRAR) the ITool Radar from here:

-Copy "ITool Radar" folder to C:\program files (x86)\

-Run IToolRadar.exe to start the program.

 

You can setup a short cut to your desktop, like below:






 This tool will detect your ICOM and allows you release it if it was showing as reserved.



Otherwise, simply unplug the ICOM from the OBD port after you turn the ignition OFF, shutdown ISTAD / ISTAP, then start over. The ICOM should be released.
